Euphrates Health and Wellness performs many in-office procedures such as:
Colposcopy
A colposcopy is an in-office procedure that allows the team to examine your cervix closely. They perform this procedure following an abnormal Pap smear.
During a colposcopy, A Provider uses a lighted microscope to evaluate your cervical tissue and look for signs of abnormalities. She may take a biopsy of any abnormal tissue and send it out to the lab for testing.
The Provider may also perform a procedure to remove the abnormal tissue during your colposcopy.
Cryotherapy
A Provider uses a specialized cold chemical that freezes and removes the abnormal tissue in your cervix during cryotherapy. They may perform cryotherapy during your colposcopy.
She may also perform this in-office procedure to remove genital warts.
Loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP)
A Provider may perform A LEEP during a colposcopy, using a specialized heated wire loop to remove a layer of abnormal tissue from your cervix or vagina.
Endometrial biopsy (EMB)
During an EMB, A Provider takes a sample of the endometrial tissue lining your uterus, then sends the tissue sample to the lab for testing. They may perform this in-office procedure to find the underlying cause of your abnormal menstrual bleeding.
Insertion of an intrauterine device (IUD)
The IUD is a long-acting reversible contraceptive (LARC) device that prevents pregnancy anywhere from 3-10 years. During the quick, in-office procedure, A Provider inserts the small T-shaped device in your uterus.
Insertion of an implant (NEXPLANON)
NEXPLANON is a small (about the size of a matchstick), thin, and flexible birth control implant that provides 3 years* of continuous pregnancy prevention
A provider will insert the Nexplanon birth control implant, also known as a contraceptive implant, into the non-dominant upper arm. She will first cleans the area with antiseptic and inject a numbing medicine. After inserting the implant she will bandage it.
